Today he teaches the techniques of the sitar, and occurs regularly in concert since 2001 in all France and abroad, accompanied with various musicians as Latif Ahmed Khan, Romain Mollard, Cenk Altiner. He has been received to Nashik ( India) in 2004, for a recital which was broadcast in a local channel of the Indian television.

At the same time he has achieves studies of musicology to the university of Saint-Etienne, and obtained a Master's degree of ethnomusicology. 

Nicolas have recently records some music for his teacher Indrajit Banerjee and the famous flutist Ronu Majumdar for the music of " The Dance of the Devil " a tale appeared to the publishing Gallimard Editions. He also worked with musicians like Massoud Raonaq in the accompaniment of Ghazals (Afghans Devotionals songs), the accompaniment of the dance


dance with “Les Perles de l'Inde” (Lyon). Nicolas played with musicians who evolve in so varied styles as the jazz, World music, electro, rock and he is in permanent search for new musical horizons.

His always intact craze leads him  to share its passion through recitals, through cultural events, through animations, and through diverse collaborations.

Indrajit Banerjee: (<http://sites.google.com/site/indrajitcalcutta/teaching>): After receving training from Patrick Moutal , and getting inspired with Nikhil banerjee's music, decides to dedicate long hours of practice on sitar. Finally he took some intensive training with Indrajit while in India resulting into a brilliant performer.


At the same time he has also studies techniques and directory of the sitar, as well as the esraj.

He proposes his teaching within the association Sanchari today.



The Sanchari Duet transport you in the universe of  traditional music of North India and perform the music of Rags with the lute Sitar, accompanied by the percussions Tablas. Both build a melodic and rhythmic pattern around the classics of the Indian music.

  Based in France, Auvergne, Sanchari proposes recitals, demonstrations, animations around the classical music of India.


Introduced briefly by Pandit Ashok Pathak in 98, Nicolas Delaigue continued his training with Patrick Moutal (Doctorate Performing Arts-Vanarasi University-today professor in the CNSMDP) during of numerous years. From 2005 hehas followed the teaching of Indrajit Banerjee ( Kolkata), sitarist of international reputation.

Borned to Isparta (Turkey), he grows with the traditional music of his country. While he is a child he settles down in France with his family. He participates in several music groups as percussionist, guitarist. Amazed by the Tablas of Indian master Anindo chatterjee, he begin  then in the 90s the diligent practice of the Indian percussion.
